Sallallah, Sallallah

Sallallah hu ala Zahra Salalallah
Embodiment of purity
Lady of that House Holy
Sallallah

1.
Dearest Nabi teased in the street
No son to make his line complete
He was called abter     (Successor-less)

Allah Karim – so Generous
His mercy flows Magnanimous
He give him Kawther

A daughter who would bear a line
Purity she would define
He gave Fatema

A "Shining one" – a guiding light
Her torch of faith burning bright
He gave Zahra     (The shining one)

2.
My Fatema is part of me
He who harms her harms me
Said Rasulullah

But when he passed from Duniyah
What would become of Habiba         (Beloved)
Afdhal an-Nisa     (The most supreme of the women)

Her rights usurped – Fadak stolen
She spoke the truth; who would listen
Oh Aadila     (Lady who judges right)

When faced with such persecution
Her faith was strong such devotion
Oh Zahida     (A devout lady)

3.
A role-model for us timeless
Not once did she ever transgress
Oh Saleema     (Peaceful)

Ideal wife without compare
A partner for our Mawla's prayer
Oh Saleeha     (Virtuous)

A teacher for the women who
Were wondering what they should do
Oh Hakima     (Wise)

Of her father – a reflection
perfect mother to her children
Umm-ul Abiha     (Mother of her father)

4.
When overworked – in need of aid
She asked her Father for a maid
Oh Rasulullah

He gave a gift more beautiful
Then any help available
Allah-hu Akber     (Allah (s.w.t.) is the greatest)

Remembering our Lord sublime
Praising him 100 times
Alhumdulillah     (All praise belongs to Allah(s.w.t))

Counting on string or beads of clay
Habit for us after we pray
Subhanallah     (Glory be to Allah (s.w.t.))
