If the length of my life was in my hands Oh Imam
I’d wait over a thousand years for you Oh Imam
Allah please cast aside the veil of ghaibat from our eyes
So I may have the feeling of true bliss in my life

Ya Imam look at the present world so empty of justice
The tyrants tighten their hold on the innocent
The world has forgotten their deen and forgone what is true
Maula you must return to us now we have faith in you
We have faith in you
Even time cannot erode the foundations of belief
I’d wait over a thousand years for you Oh Imam

Ya Imam look at the people now all slaves to their desire
Shaytan has covered their eyes as they walk towards the fire
Throughout the world mankind is lost and children are at harm
My heart cannot take anymore please come soon Imam

If Allah gives me the life if Allah gives me the chance
I’d wait over a thousand years for you Oh Imam

Ya Imam, in the distressing times we turned to Ya Husayn
During the test of Ghaybat we fall back on Ya Husayn
The embodiment of the Quran Ya Husayn
Past and present the saviour is you Ya Husayn

With my name in the duas of Sayyeda Zahra
I’d wait over a thousand years for you Oh Imam

Ya Imam in these difficult times the path of life is tough
Master bless us with peace so our path may be less rough
Give us the strength to do our sunnah in the proper way
Grant us the wish we may go for ziarat one day
Ziarat one day
Grant us these wishes so our restless hearts may get relief

Ya Imam look at the world now your Shias are oppressed
Even in those ‘Muslim’ countries they’re treated second best
From Palestine throughout the east we’re crying for your aid
“Al Ajal!” The cry goes out decade after decade
Decade after decade
We live and pray to see they day you return Imam
I’d wait over a thousand years for you Oh Imam
